It’s not necessarily out of choice that many of our members are at our Training Centers – the economy is almost forcing them to do so. However, the upside is that the upgraded skills and new classes our members are taking will help make them more employable in the future:

As 2011 began, we were all aware that it would be a challenging year. However, I was thrilled to hear the overwhelming number of customers’ compliments about our union contractors and trades people.
One of the greatest success stories Milwaukee and its union trades workforce has ever created:
No one over told Kilah Engelke, Training Coordinator and Cement Mason with Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons, Local 599 that women can’t be in the trades. Good thing too:
