It’s always nice to enter into a new year with the hope and optimism that things are getting better. Projects are being let, more are being bid and I believe by the end of 2013, we’ll be in a better position than we have been in a few years.

On Friday January 25, 2013, WRTP/BIG STEP in conjunction with Milwaukee County, the Milwaukee Building & Construction Trades Council, local construction contractors, the Association of General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee, the state of Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards, and over a dozen building and construction trades, hosted the 2013 Apprenticeship Awareness Fair.
We’ve built their Franklin campus, maintain their downtown Headquarters, and will more than likely help build this new $350 million project. We’re also looking forward to working on the infrastructure upgrades as well.
Lauri Rollings, Executive Director of Plumbing Mechanical Contractors Association and the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ Association – Throughout Rollings’ 12-year career beginning after she graduated from UW-Madison with her bachelor’s degree in journalism and her law degree from Stanford Law School, she has gained experience in various areas of law and industry including:
John Topp is Chief Executive Officer of the Allied Construction Employers Association (ACEA). After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Accounting in 1973, Topp began working for a local electrical contracting company in 1974. After working there for nearly 30 years, Topp became the Construction Labor Management Council of Southeast Wisconsin’s (Building Advantage) first Executive Director in 2003.
