WRTP/BIG STEP Expands its work to Madison

WRTP/BIG STEP has experienced much success in working with the construction industry and building trades in Milwaukee over the years. We have had the opportunity to connect workers to family-supporting careers redeveloping our lakefront, downtown, and even the major roadways in our community. These achievements have garnered attention from across the state, and we have been fortunate enough to begin expanding our workforce development efforts to Madison.

Trades Attend First Career Fair of Bradley Tech School Year

On Tuesday, October 21st, Bradley Tech High School held its first Career Fair of the 2014-2015 school year. Geared toward juniors and seniors, the fair hosted a number of colleges as well as representatives from the skilled trades. Among those attending were the Operating Engineers Local 139, Laborers Local 113, Plumbers Local 75, the Milwaukee Building and Construction Trades Council, and WRTP/BIG STEP.

MBCTC Veterans’ Job Fair

The Milwaukee Building and Construction Trades Council is hosting a Job Fair on Thursday, October 30th in partnership with Building Advantage, WRTP/BIG STEP, United Way of Greater Milwaukee, and the Milwaukee H.I.R.E.
