Lights on for Safety Campaign
Part of being a union member is giving back to our surrounding communities that have continuously supported each of us throughout the years. One such effort is the 'Lights on for Safety Campaign' that is taking place throughout 2009 on the north side of Milwaukee. Local neighborhood watch groups, the Milwaukee Police Department and volunteers from IBEW Local 494 have partnered to install lights in the alleyways of local neighborhoods taking a stand against crime.
The pilot program took place this past Saturday, April 25 and was very successful. All three groups really came together to make it happen smoothly and efficiently. On Saturday, May 16 approximately 60 homes will have lighting fixtures installed making it the largest installation to date for this program. If you are interested in learning more about this or would like to volunteer your time, please call Tim Hanson or Ricky Gutierrez at (414) 327-5202.
Building Advantage is pleased that IBEW Local 494 understands the benefits of making communities safer as well as being a part of our association. Together we are making a huge difference across town and the state of Wisconsin. Keep up the good work!
