Building Advantage Ad Campaign

Effort Focuses on Higher Standards

If anyone in Southeastern Wisconsin was unsure about union construction, Building Advantage is giving them plenty to think about this spring and summer.

Building Advantage has begun an advertising campaign that marks a new era in promoting union construction, with advertisements appearing locally on freeway billboards, radio stations and in business publications. The campaign will run for the duration of the summer with ongoing advertising and event sponsorship extending into November. Until now, promoting union construction regionally has been done on a smaller scale.

“With commercial construction going strong, there is no better time to let the people of Southeastern Wisconsin know what Building Advantage stands for,” says John Topp, Building Advantage Executive Director. “Our primary focus is on the municipal and commercial construction market because of its strong growth potential and it's one in which our contractors excel.”

A Higher Standard of Excellence for Hire
Building Advantage's ad campaign is built around the message that Building Advantage contractors and trades people represent a higher standard of excellence. The advertisements focus on union-dominated traits like quality, professionalism, project management and overall value.

“The goal of the advertising is to build awareness in people's minds that Building Advantage is who you turn to for the best in construction,” says Topp. “From there, we want people who are considering a career in construction and those seeking contractors to use Building Advantage as their resource. Based upon monthly Web site numbers, we're already seeing record visits to our site.”

Building Advantage ads are currently running on WTMJ 620-AM, ESPN Radio 1510 and in The Business Journal, Small Business Times, Daily Reporter and Wisconsin Builder. Outdoor ads are appearing on freeway billboards throughout the Greater Milwaukee area, with some appearing on attention-grabbing, high-intensity digital billboards.
