New Executive Director Takes the Helm
Hello to all members of Building Advantage. My name is Ken Kraemer and I will be taking over as Executive Director of the Construction Labor Management Council of Southeast Wisconsin.
I would first like to say thank you to John Topp for all of his hard work and dedication to this organization, and I wish him much success with the Allied Construction Employers Association.
It has been my pleasure to experience all aspects of the union construction industry over the past 25 years. From my apprenticeship and time as a journeyman with Steamfitters Local 601, to serving as a union organizer/lobbyist with the Wisconsin Pipe Trades Association and eventually becoming a union contractor, I have had the privilege of working on both sides of management and labor. I intend to use that experience for the betterment of Building Advantage and the union construction industry.
I hold the union's standard of excellence in the highest regard as it is proven time and again by our members. Quality training, workmanship and safety continue to be our trademarks and they will allow us, the union trades, to lead the Southeastern Wisconsin construction industry.
I plan to make this a smooth transition for the 21,000 members of Building Advantage. To those of you who are reading The Power of One newsletter I thank you, and remember we are the best in the industry. It is my goal to let our communities know that union construction has the highest standard of excellence. Please feel free to contact me at kkraemer@buildingadvantage.org, and I look forward to representing you and our future.
Sincerely,
Ken Kraemer, Executive Director
