FISERV FORUM
This state-of-the-art, 730,000 square foot arena is the central hub for live entertainment in downtown Milwaukee. Quality union craftsmanship is evident throughout the $524 million project, which was completed using more than 8,000 tons of structural steel, 321 tons of long span steel and 8,937 zinc architectural panels. Sheet metal workers are proud to showcase the iconic 17,500 seat arena to their friends and family.

FROEDTERT AND THE MEDICAL COLLEGE OF WISCONSIN CENTER FOR ADVANCED CARE
Completed in October 2015, the $139 million project brings together the Heart and Vascular Center, Transplant Center and integrated rooms for surgeries and interventional procedures on a single, centrally located floor. It was among the leading hospitals in the nation to create the integrated environment to optimize operations, patient flow and to support future technological advancements.

MGIC Corporate Headquarters
Union trades workers led the way for MGIC’s renovation/restack of three floors in the existing four-story headquarters building and eight floors in the existing 10-story building over multiple phases. This fast-tracked project included 200,000 square feet of Class A office space, which was modernized with electrical updates and finishes and took place over multiple phases in an occupied space. Crews from Hunzinger Construction Company self- performed selective demolition and carpentry.

The Miller Park Food & Beverage Upgrade
The Milwaukee Brewers’ $20 million concession upgrade was designed to enhance the quality of food offerings and provide 33% more points of sale for faster service. Family-owned Hunzinger Construction Company served as general contractor for the revamped concession stands that “completely transform” the food and beverage offerings at Miller Park. The project included 11 new concession stands with a heavy emphasis on local eateries and beverages.

BMO Harris Bradley Center Demolition
When The Bradley Center opened in 1998 it was one of the area’s premier sports facilities, capable of hosting 18,600 fans for basketball, 17,800 for hockey and up to 20,000 for concerts. Union trades workers led the demolition of the multi-purpose arena that served Milwaukee for 30 years. Demolition contractor Veit USA performed a “roof felling” that allowed the demolition to occur more safely and at a faster pace. More than $1 million in electrical equipment, furniture and bathroom fixtures were donated to Habitat for Humanity and Milwaukee Public Schools. The final standing part of The Bradley Center was felled on May 31, 2019.

Milwaukee Bucks Entertainment Plaza & Block
Spanning West Highland Avenue to West Juneau Avenue, the Entertainment Block is a central element of the master design plan for Fiserv Forum and its surrounding development. The Entertainment Block features active space designed for year-round community use, including a mixture of dining, entertainment and retail. The block serves as an important connection between Fiserv Forum and existing commercial activity along Old World Third Street. The redevelopment, which includes a 93,500 square foot public plaza that hosts its own major events throughout the year, has brought new life to downtown Milwaukee.

American Family Amphitheater Renovation
This local project included successfully raising the roof of the American Family Insurance Amphitheater to almost twice the height of the current roof, from 39 feet to 65 feet. Raising the roof was a challenging feat that called for extensive pre-planning, bringing the right experienced team members together, and precision execution that involved critical engineering analysis and highly skilled tradespeople. Approximately half of the current roof was raised, from the stage to the end of the current reserved seating sections 1-3, totaling approximately 24,100 square feet (1/2 acre) and weighing 607,000 pounds.
