The Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership (WRTP) – BIG STEP is a nonprofit organization committed to the recruitment and development of the most diverse, qualified workforce in the region. Apprenticeship applicants are encouraged to utilize the WRTP/BIG STEP suite of career services and resources — including career exploration and counseling, soft skills development and tutoring in preparation for apprenticeship exams and employer assessments.

Orientations

BIG STEP orientations are held in Madison, Milwaukee and Racine. You’ll learn all about apprenticeships in the building trades, the application process, the BIG STEP apprenticeship readiness tutoring program, entry-level training opportunities, community certification and ongoing construction projects in the area.
